EU directive on Municipal Wastewater is adopted! This is good news and long overdue. However, it should not be overlooked that not only the pharmaceutical and chemical industries will be held accountable in the future, but that #nitrogen and #phosphorus will also be considered in addition to a #fourth purification stage. Both small and large #operators should already take this into account in their #investment strategy, even if national implementation has yet to take place. Nothing would be more fatal than having to change plans again in a few years’ time. #Water management thinks in decades!
